Engine: 2 ea. GMC 6-cylinder, 4.425 cm3 (270 cubic inches) displacement, carburettor, liquid-cooled.
Year: 1942
Location: Oksbøl ( Denmark )
Condition: Restored

Staghound Restoration Details:

This Staghound is standing at the museum at the Army Combat School (HKS) in Oksbøl Denmark.
Believed to be received in the 1946 The vehicles were demobbed in 1953

Staghound Restoration Details:

Exterior is restored; interior is complete but unrestored. Engine compartment is empty! Owned by Chad Lares, Curator, Military History Museum, Chandler Arizona

Staghound Configuration:

T17E1 – 37mm main gun. Appears to be an early production Model. However it does have rear engine hatch hinges and is not therefore, bolted down.

Staghound Restoration Details:

Still belonging to the Danish national defence museum in Copenhagen. Now adopted for restauration by a restauration group/association from the Jutlandian dragoons, JDR in Holstebro, Denmark. We have just started the full restauration, and a lot will haft to be done. The vehicle is in fair condition though and should be up running in 2008.

Still equipped with the 75 mm gun and the Crusader turret.

Purchased many years ago from Pounds scrapyard. Rebuilt over five years and completed in July 2006.

Purchased from Australia in 2005 and. Currently stripped, blasted, cleaned and painted hull, engines rebuilt, working on gearboxes.
